If you’re an Australian writer with a non-fiction manuscript on the go, you’d be hard pressed to find a better way to develop your manuscript than HARDCOPY. Run by the ACT Writers’ Centre, it’s open now, Australia-wide.
I attended the fiction version last year and it was one of the highlights of my writing career. Not only is it packed full of useful information from crafting to getting published -– with tips and panels from those in the publishing industry, published authors and former participants – it’s a great way to connect with other writers and become part of a supportive, friendly community (so often lacking in such a solitary pursuit).
There’s a scholarship for First Nations writers, as well.
Everything you need to know is here.
